We learn for life...

We fully understand that probably the single most important parenting decision you will take is choosing the right School for your child.

Your child is special, with unique talents, unique needs and unique ambitions. Your child needs a School that not only recognises this uniqueness, but can adapt its teaching to suit the individual child. Larger schools lack this flexibility.

We provide our children with a safe and caring learning environment in which the individual can flourish. We nurture and develop the necessary values, talents and skills which will provide a platform for future success.

The children at Colston Bassett School are happy, inquisitive and challenged. They enjoy learning and all want to join in the many activities that we have to offer, both in and outside of the classroom.

The education we offer is not merely classroom based. We take full advantage of the delightful rural environment surrounding our School. Few children are able to enjoy such wonderful open green areas, surrounded by trees and grass which in turn becomes an outdoor classroom of enviable proportions.

Please come and visit us and experience the unique Colston Bassett School at first hand. It is only then that you can fully appreciate what our School can offer you and your child. To arrange a visit, please contact the Headteacher, Mrs Jean Wilson, on 01949 81118.

We look forward to welcoming you.

We are an independent co-educational selective preparatory school for children between the ages of 4 - 11 years.

The school motto is "Vitae Discimus" which means "we learn for life". This sums up our approach to this early key stage in a child's development as a well-rounded person.
