The Vale First Responders (VFR) are volunteer members of the community who are trained to respond to emergency calls through the 999 system in conjunction with the East Midlands Ambulance Service. The Responders are trained to provide basic life support and defibrillation to patients in rural areas within the Vale of Belvoir, where distance may delay the prompt arrival of an ambulance. The VFR save many lives on a regular basis, and are always looking for supporters and volunteers to become Responders. Visit the VFR website
