
As part of their topic for the Spring Term, our reception children have been learning about people who help us.
During a sunny week in March, the children were very excited when the local Firefighters and the Police very kindly managed to visit us on two consecutive days to explain their very different roles in the community.
The Officers explained all about the work they do and also demonstrated the equipment they all use for various different situations. The children were fascinated.
Mrs Wilson was chosen by the children to model the firefighters protective clothing and Mrs Heafford tried out the Policeman's handcuffs!
As well as being a very valuable learning experience, the children all had great fun.
