The children were once again invited to spend an afternoon at Belvoir Castle to decorate one of the Christmas trees in the castle for ‘Belvoir by Candlelight’ and the ‘Christmas Fantasia week 2008’. The theme at the castle this year was ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and the children enjoyed making the decorative flowers and glitter tree decorations at school. There was much excitement when the afternoon arrived to visit the castle and dress the tree with our decorations.
Once our tree was finished, everyone was thrilled to be given a guided tour of the castle to see all the decorations for the Christmas celebrations. There was also a chance for the children to experience the Victorian school room and write on the old fashioned slates. Please visit our gallery for further pictures of this visit.
